Taylor
Taylor (also known as “Tayls”) first tried pole during her PhD in London and was absolutely hooked after a few beginner classes, but couldn’t continue it during her research project due to scheduling. In 2021, Taylor moved to San Francisco to work as a neuroscientist and discovered a pole studio by chance. She was introduced to exotic pole dancing and completely fell in love with it – this time she was determined to remain consistent and couldn’t imagine her life without pole! During her time there, she trained hard under some of the world’s most famous pole and circus artists in pole, choreo, edgework, strength and flexibility, acrobatics, and contortion. She also travelled around the US to compete in live Pole Sport Organisation Championships, placing 2nd in Los Angeles, California (March 2022) and 3rd in Dallas, Texas (June 2022) – always in the exotic category
Since returning to Belfast in 2022, Taylor continued to compete (albeit virtually) and won 1st place in three competitions (exotic heels). She achieved her pole and flexibility instructor certifications and absolutely loves the joys of teaching. Taylor loves to incorporate her knowledge in neuroscience and psychology into her teachings to facilitate her students’ progress in movement and mindset. In her words, “it’s the most rewarding job in the world to help your students grow and enjoy the fun of class!”
You can find Tayls teaching a mix of levels as well as flexibilty and heels flow classes in our weekend classes.
